Echo AI Assistant · Healthcare

During an exam, the phone can wait. Your patient can't.

Echo is an AI phone assistant for private practices, dentists and veterinarians: it answers the call while you're with a patient, books appointments based on your calendar, shares office hours and practical information, and hands off anything beyond its scope while alerting you. You get a summary of every call.

Sound familiar?

The exam can't be interrupted

You can't reach for the phone during treatment, and your assistant has a thousand other things to do. A missed call is often a booking that never happened.

The same questions, all day long

What are your office hours? Do I need a referral? How much is the exam? Important questions, but the answer is always the same and doesn't require medical expertise.

The slots left empty

People who can't cancel by phone often simply don't show up. An empty slot is lost revenue, and an answered call would have prevented it.

Example: an appointment request through Echo
Caller
Hello! I'd like to request an appointment for next week.
Echo
Hello, thanks for calling! I'm an AI assistant, and this call is being transcribed. There's an opening Tuesday at 8:00 AM or Thursday at 2:30 PM. Which one suits you?
Caller
Tuesday, please.
Echo
Great, Tuesday at 8:00 AM. What name should I record, and which number can we reach you on?
Caller
Emma Brooks, on this number.
Echo
Thank you, Emma! Your appointment is booked, and we'll send a reminder too.

What does it handle for you?

  • Answers the call during office hours and outside them
  • Offers appointments based on the open slots in your calendar and records the booking
  • Shares office hours, prices and preparation instructions
  • Handles cancellations and rescheduling, so the freed-up slot can be booked again
  • Hands off urgent or complex cases and alerts you right away
  • Sends the patient a reminder and a text confirmation

You'll find the whole process, step by step, on the How it works page.

What it costs a practice

For a private practice, the Voice Starter plan is usually the right entry point: it handles 300 minutes of calls a month, approx. 120 calls. Busier practices are better served by Voice Pro, with 900 minutes. The first 7 days are a live trial, free.

Frequently asked questions

Does Echo give patients medical advice?

No, never. Echo handles administrative matters: appointments, office hours, prices, preparation. For any health question, it records the caller's details and hands the case off to you or your assistant.

What happens in an emergency?

Echo recognizes when a call is urgent and acts according to your settings: it transfers the call immediately to the number you specify, or records the details and sends you an instant notification.

How does Echo handle patient data?

At the start of the call, Echo says that an AI assistant is speaking and that the call is being transcribed. It captures only the data needed for the booking and the callback, on a consent basis; how long it's kept is your decision. Health-data rules differ by country and state, so check the settings with your legal advisor; the details of our data processing are in the privacy notice.

Can we connect it to our existing calendar?

Yes, Echo can be connected to any calendar. It reads the open slots from there and the booking goes in there, so you don't have to switch to a new system.

What does it cost, and how long does onboarding take?

Voice Starter is $289/mo (taxes not included), with 300 minutes of calls a month. Setup takes approx. 1 week: we load the knowledge base, configure the calendar and set up call forwarding. The first 7 days are a free live trial.

Will patients accept that a person isn't answering?

The caller learns in the first sentence that they're talking to an AI assistant. In return, the line doesn't ring unanswered and voicemail doesn't pick up: they get an appointment, an answer, a callback. And for anything beyond its scope, a human.
